A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Find Your YouTube Stream Key

Welcome to StreamCot!

To get started to live stream on YouTube, you'll need to link your "YouTube stream key" on streamcot.com which is necessary to do one time.

The stream key is a unique code that enables you to broadcast live video to your YouTube channel.

YouTube uses this key to know how to attach the live broadcast to the channel's active video event.

This is used to verify your identity and prevent abuse.

Prerequisite: You need to have created and logged in to your StreamCot account first.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to find your YouTube stream key and set up your StreamCot Profile.

If you are using your computer to set up, go to https://www.youtube.com/live_dashboard/?approve_browser_access=true

Then, continue from step 5.

These steps are for if you are setting up directly from your phone.

Log in to Your YouTube Account if you are not already logged in.

If you don't have an account, you must create one first and then log in.

This may take a moment to load. Please be patient with YouTube.com.

Step 4: If you have never used YouTube Live Control Room before, a prompt "Right Now" or "Later Date" will appear.

Select either "Right Now" to try a test stream now or "Later Date" to schedule a stream, depending on your preference.

Clicking on "Right Now" is a quick and easy way to start streaming, while "Later Date" allows you to schedule a stream in advance.

A prompt will appear asking you to choose: webcam or streaming software. Click on "streaming software."

If you have multiple YouTube channels in your account, make sure the profile picture at the top right matches the YouTube channel picture that you want to use with StreamCot.

Once complete, "studio.youtube.com" will show at the top center, and "Studio" will appear on the left side.

Step 5: Locate Your Stream Key
